Equipment

Augmented Reality headset
The AR headset (industrial design by Niels Mulder) used at the AR+RFID Lab is made of a high resolution firewire camera, inertia (rotation and accelaration) tracker and an optical see-through head-mounted glasses (Visette 45 SXGA).

Visette 45 SXGA
New HMD (Head Mounted Display) Visette 45 SXGA from Cybermind Interactive. 45° diagonal field of view in a SXGA resolution of 1280 x 1024.

Data Glove
5DT Data Glove 5 Ultra measures finger flexure (1 sensor per finger) of the user's hand. The system interfaces with the computer via a USB cable.

Wiring I/O boards
The Wiring I/O board is a small circuit board that includes a tiny computer of the size of a postage stamp known as microcontroller. This computer can be programmed in the Wiring programming environment (based on Processing) to control all kinds of sensors and actuators.

Arduino I/O boards
Arduino is an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple i/o board, and a development environment for writing Arduino software. The Arduino programming language is an implementation of Wiring.

Parallax RFID Reader + RFID Tags
Parallax Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Reader Module is the first low-cost solution to read passive RFID transponder tags.

USB RFID Reader + RFID Tags*
USB and PS/2 compatible Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Reader reader passive RFID tags from a distance of about 20 cm, easy to use with e.g. Flash ActionScript.
